The word continues

Teachings of the Valley

The locutions and catechesis received in the Valley of the Half Moon — their home on this site

The treasure

A word that is still alive

From the valley's first days, the word received has been carefully preserved: first on small recorders, then on tapes, today in faithful transcriptions. The devotees relate that this word is from Saint Teresa of Jesus, and the recordings also keep the catechesis given to the prayer group over the years.

And it is not only history: the word continues to be received today. Each new teaching is transcribed and kept with the same care as the first ones.

We will not publish the audio. The texts will be published — faithfully reviewed, approved by the group and translated into English — so they can be prayed, taught and shared like the teachings from her writings.

The road of each teaching

From the word received to the published text

Each teaching of the valley walks these steps before appearing on this page.

1

Faithful transcription

The recording is turned into text word by word, without fixing or completing: what cannot be understood is marked — never guessed.

2

Review by the group

The prayer group reviews the text and confirms it is faithful to what was received. Nothing is published without that approval.

3

In the light of her writings

Each teaching is accompanied by the passages of the Saint's works that echo it, cited by work and chapter.

4

In two languages

The approved text is carefully translated into English and published in both languages, with its prayer guide.

Integrity

Always identified

Each teaching of the valley is published clearly identified as word received in the Valley of the Half Moon — always distinguished from the historical writings of Saint Teresa of Ávila, which have their own library in this school. The reader will always know what they are reading.
